President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Felidhoo Island Council members and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) at the Secretariat of Vaavu Atoll Council, to address the developmental needs of the community.

Council members emphasized the pressing issue of land scarcity and outlined challenges in the education and sports sectors. They highlighted the urgency of resuming halted developmental projects, the need for a picnic island, and facilitating the issuance of driving licenses from Vaavu Atoll.

Speaking at the meeting, the WDC members emphasised the challenges posed by space constraints in carrying out their duties.

In response, the President committed to expediting the issuance of driving licenses from the Atoll and assured that the Administration would assess the concerns raised by the council members. The Ministers in attendance also offered the latest updates on the Government's efforts to resolve the issues raised by the Council.
