The Chief Spokesperson at the President's Office, Heena Waleed, has stated that the Government aims to effectively use the supermajority within the Parliament to establish an efficient mechanism to improve public services. She made the remarks during a press conference held today at the President's Office.

At the press conference to brief journalists on the Administration's efforts and answer their queries, the Chief Spokesperson emphasised the Government's unwavering commitment to the responsible use of the supermajority. She reassured the public that the Administration would not misuse this power but rather use it to improve wages and bring sustainable economic development to the nation.

Addressing the concerns raised about the electricity bills for the month of Ramadan, when electricity consumption is high, the spokesperson invited the managing directors of state-owned utility companies Fenaka Corporation Limited and State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) to answer journalists' queries. They responded to questions from journalists and detailed the discounts provided to electricity bills from STELCO and FENAKA per the President's commitment to ease the public's burden of paying huge electricity bills during Ramadan.

During the press conference, the Chief Spokesperson at the President's Office, Heena Waleed, clarified various public interest issues and conveyed her intent to arrange weekly press conferences to ensure the Administration's public transparency.
