President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Wednesday sent a message of condolence to H.E. Xi Jinping, the President of the People’s Republic of China, following the passing of the former President of China Jiang Zemin.
The President’s message reads as follows:
“As China mourns the passing away of their former President Jiang Zemin, on behalf of the Government and people of Maldives I send our sympathies to you and the people of China.
Former President Jiang Zemin will be remembered as a visionary leader who made great strides in bringing socioeconomic progress for the people of China, and consolidating China’s role as a significant contributor on the international stage.
Please also convey my sincere condolences to the bereaved family.”
