President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has met with the Veyvah Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) to address the island's development needs and the concerns of its residential community. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the M. Mulaku Council Office this afternoon.

During the meeting, the Council expressed concerns about the halted water supply and sewage project. They also expressed interest in establishing an industrial commercial port, and highlighted challenges faced by the school due to a shortage of teachers. Additionally, the Council emphasised the need to protect the island's eroding areas.

The Women's Development Committee (WDC) of M. Veyvah, speaking at the meeting, shared challenges related to providing wages for individuals responsible for island cleaning.

During the meeting, the President affirmed that the Administration would address the concerns raised by the council. He provided the latest updates on the issues raised by the Council through the Cabinet Ministers and senior Government officials present.
