Our top priority should be to sustain peace and harmony -President

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has stated that our top priority should be to sustain peace and harmony in Maldives. The President made this remark while addressing the function held last evening, for the first couple to meet the senior citizens.

While addressing the gathering, the President underscored that senior citizens were due credit for the golden years of our nation. He also shed light on the invaluable services from the senior citizens to the nation, and conveyed his sincere appreciation for all their work and efforts extended in nation building.

Moreover, the President described senior citizens as treasures of the nation; saying that they were the pioneers who cultivated love for our nation and values, through building a robust generation. President Yameen also shed light on vitality of the key role played by the senior citizens in nation building.
